And in your flight, I am betrayed.

I try to close my eyes, but still you find a way,

Your shadow whispers softly in the night’s decay.

I can’t remember love, just all the fear inside,

The angel that I dread, in which I once confide.

And I can't breathe, you steal my air,

You pass right through, but still you’re there.

You leave me empty, hollowed out,

A ghost I fear, yet dream about.

And when you fly, I fall apart,

Your presence tearing at my heart.

Through the Jordan

She’s walking in the desert, her heart like barren sand,

He leads her like a shepherd, but with a cruel hand.

He built her golden idols, but none could make her whole,

She’s lost inside his shadow, searching for her soul.

I see her eyes still burning bright,

A ghost of love beneath the night.

But I’ve crossed the Jordan, found my peace,

Her chains still bind, her cries won’t cease.

I wish I could release her heart,

But I’ve found my way, we’re worlds apart.

He’s her Pharaoh, ruling tight, hardening his heart,

She prays for freedom every night, but can't depart.

He fights the battles that don’t heal, only break her down,

She drowns in his possession, while he wears the crown.

I see her eyes still burning bright,

A ghost of love beneath the night.

But I’ve crossed the Jordan, found my peace,

Her chains still bind, her cries won’t cease.

I wish I could release her heart,

But I’ve found my way, we’re worlds apart.

I thought I was the worst of men, unworthy of her grace,

But he's the serpent in disguise, lost in his embrace.

I've walked through fire and the flood, to find my promised land,

She still wanders through the dust, reaching for my hand.

Her eyes still plead, but my heart's been sealed,

In arms of love, my wounds have healed.

I wish her peace, I wish her light,

But I’ve found my home beyond the night.

No more regret, no looking back,

She’s in his storm, I’m on my track.
